Sydney, get ready. The UK’s most iconic queer pop festival is officially making its Australian debut, and it’s bringing one hell of a line-up with it.
Mighty Hoopla – London’s legendary pop-utopia that’s become a cult phenomenon among gays, gals and everyone in between – is finally touching down under. And in the most fittingly chaotic way possible, it’s landing right on Bondi Beach on Saturday 21 February 2026.

Headlining the festival is none other than KESHA, the unapologetic pop powerhouse behind Tik Tok, We R Who We R, and Joyride. Known for her electric stage energy and fearless individuality, she’s the perfect artist to lead Mighty Hoopla Sydney’s first ever Aussie edition.
And that’s just the start. The UK organisers are promising a “kaleidoscopic line-up of iconic artists, drag royalty, DJs, and queer party collectives” from both the UK and Australia, with the full line-up dropping soon. Translation: chaos incoming.
“Australia has always been my second home,” says Mighty Hoopla founder Glyn Fussell. “It’s where I found out who I was as a queer man. To finally bring the Hoopla magic to Sydney is a dream come true. Expect joy, chaos and the campest day of your life.”
Since its launch in 2016, Mighty Hoopla has grown into the UK’s biggest pop festival, celebrating freedom, inclusivity and all things unapologetically fun. Past line-ups have included Nelly Furtado, Sugababes, Years & Years, Steps, Kelly Rowland, TLC, All Saints and Jessie Ware. Think pure pop nostalgia meets queer chaos, in the best possible way.
This Sydney debut marks the first time the festival has ventured beyond the UK, and it’s shaping up to be one of the biggest queer pop events Australia has ever seen.
