She’s said it once, and she’ll say it again, the party don’t start till she walks in! Glitter goddess and self-proclaimed dance commander Kesha, has officially been announced as a performer at the official Mardi Gras Party on Saturday 29th of February, 2020.

As if the entire gay population of Australia weren’t already screaming when Mardi Gras last month announced the literal goddess, Dua Lipa as the headline act for the Mardi Gras After-Party, the team had to today again blow our literal minds.

In case you’ve been living under a rock for roughly 10 years and are not familiar with the one, the only, Kesha, she’s the literal queen behind the iconic banger “Tik Tok”, the anthemic “We R Who We R”, “Blah Blah Blah”, “Your Love Is my Drug”, “Die Young” and her ground-breaking 2017 comeback “Praying”. She’s a huge mood.

Mardi Gras After Party Famed for being one of the music industry’s most prominent LGBTQI rights activists, Kesha received the 2016 Human Rights Campaign’s Visibility Award for her outstanding efforts in promoting equality, and was nominated for outstanding musical artist at the 2018 GLAAD Awards. In 2010 Kesha lent her voice to Dan Savage’s “It Gets Better” campaign and wrote her chart topping smash ‘We R Who We R’ as a direct response to news that bullying had led to multiple suicides of gay youth.
