This is not a drill, we repeat, this is NOT A DRILL. In what is surely every bar enthusiast’s darkest hour, the gods behind the world-famous premium whisky brand, Monkey Shoulder, are changing that around entirely and delivering to us all the crème de la crème of ‘ronavirus restriction gifts – yep, a giant cocktail mixer on wheels…complete with FREE cocktails. This is a big mood, and being honest, we’re not even sure what we’ve done to deserve this.

Free Cocktail Truck Sydney - Monkey ShoulderThe truck, aptly named ‘Money Mixer’, will give Sydney a spectacle over the next month with the launch of a free door-to-door cocktail delivery service in partnership with some of Sydney’s favourite venues.

Launching yesterday on World Cocktail Day (May 13th), Sydney’s cocktail connoisseurs should be on the look out as the truck makes its way across a number of Sydney suburbs, delivering cocktails direct from a number of trailblazing bars and their talented bartenders.

From the Eastern Suburbs to the Northern Beaches, Monkey Shoulder will partner with a new venue each week and will feature a special code that eagle-eyed cocktail fans can find on the truck, which then unlocks a redeemable free cocktail on the venue’s website.

The Monkey Mixer will be delivering a special ‘Lockdown Cocktail Menu’ which includes:

  • The Espresso Monkey –  Work meets play, in a good way. Tastes like a whisky, with a twist on the classic coffee cocktail.
  • The Boulevardier #3 – A Whisky and Campari punch to ver-mouth. Tastes like a Negroni, but with real attitude.

MONKEY SHOULDER PARTNERS WITH TOP SYDNEY BARS TO DELIVER FREE COCKTAILS IN AUSTRALIA'S BIGGEST COCKTAIL MIXER TRUCKThe Monkey Mixer’s first stop will be at Potts Point’s premiere cocktail bar The Roosevelt, with the Mixer making deliveries from 13-17th of May. The following week, from 20-24th of May, Monkey Shoulder will join forces with one of Sydney’s leading pubs, The Unicorn, in Paddington, unlocking free premium cocktails for those in the surrounding areas.

Travelling from the Eastern Suburbs to the Northern Beaches, the Monkey Mixer will collaborate with Donny’s Bar from 27-31st of May, bringing the unique service to a Manly favourite. To finish up, Monkey Shoulder will come to the streets of Sydney’s CBD with the help of one of the World’s 50 Best Bars, Maybe Sammy. The month-long activity is guaranteed to end with a bang between 3-7th of June – so be sure to keep an eye out!

If you’re one of the unlucky few that aren’t able to get your hands on one of the truck’s free sips, never fear as Money Shoulder still have you covered. Throughout the month, the whiskey gods over at Monkey Shoulder have also partnered with online bottle shop, Boozebud, to ensure a bonus gift, is provided to every drinker that purchases a bottle of Monkey Shoulder during the 13th of May to the 5th June 2020.
