BONUS: Mardi Gras INSPIRED cocktails @ THE PORTER HOUSE

If you’re less about events, and more just want to sit back and enjoy a Mardi Gras inspired cocktail, then The Porter House have you covered!

There’s no tickets needed, and no event times to worry about, instead, just head to the bar and enjoy either the FLORA & FLORA cocktail, a Mardi Gras cocktail inspired by the first owner of Porter House – Mr. Hugh Dixson, who’s noted as a Horticulturist supporting cultivation and the study of science of natural history.

The herb-infused FLORA & FLORA cocktail combines the mint gin with hibiscus tea, rose syrup and edible flowers, creating a vibrant flavour that adds a unique twist to the Mardi Gras celebration.

While you’re there, you can also enjoy the ‘TRADE WINDS’ Mardi Gras cocktail which “acknowledges our past, but encourages us to envision what comes next.”

Both equally as delicious as they are iconic. Get in quick, before the Modern Gay’s Guide team go in and drink the place dry…would be rude not to!

EDITOR’S NOTE: This article was written in (paid) partnership with Accor. A partnership that supports the free distribution of this magazine in capital cities right around Australia. A big hotel slay if we do say so ourselves.
