[su_dropcap style=”simple” size=”5″]L[/su_dropcap]ord, oh lord, ladies and gentlemen, last week was an absolute wild ride. Tommy Hilfiger, the man, the myth, the stylistic legend, arrived into Australia and wasted absolutely no time at all, throwing an out of this world, oh so fab party to celebrate. The party was extravagant, truly fabulous and oh so exclusive…which is why we’re not too sure how, but the Modern Gay’s Guide team made the guest list (surely an oversight)? So we went and checked it all out, and are now here to give you the full, behind the scenes, Gay’s Guide rundown of the ‘who’s’, the ‘what’s’ and well, basically the ‘what we remember’s’ of the truly out of this world, Hilfiger soirée.

Tommy Hilfiger Loves Australia Party Inside - A Modern Gay's GuideKnown for their eccentric energy and flair, the Hilfiger brand transformed the heritage building ‘Chukka’ into an exclusive New York style loft party…and boy was it a mood. Setting the scene, the VIP guests (which after being invited to the party, we now 100% feel we are also) arrived to the iconic Jones Bay Wharf building, lit up in the brand’s iconic Americana colour, whilst electric music duo, Set Mo were on the DJ decks…boujee, right? If that doesn’t get you going, a huge, extra AF disco ball hung from the ceiling, adding a huge dose of retro glam to the party.

As with any good party, the drinks were absolutely flowing. Bespoke red, white and blue cocktails filled the room, and trust us, we tried them all…a couple of times. Now, we hate to name drop…but we’re about to, and quite intensely. The Gay’s Guide team partied with the likes of Lucky Blue Smith, Matty J, Gemma Ward, Jesinta Franklin, Cameron Robbie, Pia Muehlenbeck, Samantha Harris, Montana Cox, Sarah Ellen, Tom Derickx, Sammy Robinson, Bree McCann, Roberta Pecorara, Ali Simpson, Yan Yan Chan and Carmen Hamilton, just to name a few.

Partying well into the night, the Gay’s Guide team arrived looking fab AF, and left looking about $2. Safe to say, a lot of heavy heads at Gay’s Guide HQ the next morning…

So credit to you Mr. Tommy Hilfiger – first time in Australia, and already throwing one of the hottest parties Australia’s ever seen. You go Glen Coco!
