Naarm (Melbourne) based Music Digital Marketing and PR organisation Hunger Digital launches a booking roster featuring a heap of LGBTQIA+ emerging artists in the live music and club space.
Hunger Digital was founded by Biloela-born (Queensland), Naarm-based music enthusiast Laura Semple. Laura has over 10 years of experience in the social media and digital marketing landscape, with a Masters of Communication and a multitude of experience working on the ground as an artist manager, magazine editor and beyond.
“Through working with many artists over the years,” Semple explains, “I could see the need for a booking agency that not only puts artists first but also works with artists and DJs that are a bit left of centre. At Hunger Digital we pride ourselves in giving space to these artists that combine the worlds of music, theatre and multidisciplinary art – bringing you into their world by way of their stage performance and digital presence”.
Currently the roster focuses on music artists and DJs based in Naarm, looking to expand to the rest of Australia over the next 12 months.
“We’re an artist-centric agency with many of the Hunger Digital team being artists and DJs ourselves, it was important for me to create an agency that prioritises the creatives we work for,” says Semple.
The roster includes artists within the realms of experimental pop and electronic music including live acts Adam Noviello, Dirty Versachi, DOGi KATZ, LOUV, Max Lawrence, Mo•Louie, Romaeo, Tess Hannah and DJs Genki Tanaka, Patrick Henning, Priya, Rakhi, Sickpig and Tiny Text.
To celebrate the launch of this vibrant agency Hunger Digital will be hosting two parties in the coming month. The first at the Curtin Hotel on March 10th with the full live artist roster and the second a club event at The Toff in Town on March 23rd with all DJs creating a fun and inclusive event.
At both events there will be more than music with cocktails by Baby Pink Gin and temporary tattoos designed by local tattoo artist Vein Boy.
