AN INDULGING, TREAT-YOURSELF RECIPE FROM BAILEYS

If there’s one thing that the gals, gays and theys have managed to take over, it is of course the infamous occasion that is brunch.

We’re all of course familiar with the brunch staples; you’ve got Eggs Benny, the famed pancake stack, and without fail, some variation of a greased up, day-after/heavy-head saving breakfast burger.

…But, if you haven’t yet added this Baileys French Toast recipe to your regular brunch line-up, then hun, it’s time to level up your brunch game…you can thank us later for this one!

RECIPE

• 100ml Baileys Original Irish Cream

• 2 eggs

• 30ml milk

• 4 slices bread

• 40g butter

• Whipped cream

• Raspberries

• Blueberries and a dusting of icing sugar to garnish

NOTE: THIS RECIPE CONTAINS ALCOHOL

METHOD

Step one of this journey toward meeting your one true love (AKA four slices of Baileys French Toast) is to take the eggs, milk and 100ml of Baileys and mix it, mix it real good (which, if you’re wondering, is until combined…shocker!).

Then, take that golden mixture and pour it over your bread, letting it soak for a couple of minutes. While that’s happening, use this time to find your nearest mirror, and check that fine reflection out – stunning right?! Give that reflective baddie at least 3 compliments – that’s an order!

Now, let’s get back to cooking (good looking!). Okay, next melt the butter in a large frying pan over a medium heat. Once it’s nice and hot, fry your bread slices until they’re golden on each side (or for about two minutes per side).

Finally, make like the Instagram Baddie that you are and arrange the Baileys French Toast slices on your plate, topping them with a generous dollop of whipped cream, handfuls of raspberries and blueberries, an artistic drizzle of chocolate sauce and golden syrup, and a dusting of icing sugar. Now, tuck in babe – it’s go time!

PS we want to enjoy this moment with you, so head on over to IG and show us your creation by tagging @baileysofficial and @amoderngaysguide…oh and don’t forget to #DrinkResponsibly – you’re a role model, babe.
